===== Problem =====



After rebooting the SMS server, SMS hangs when launching. The splash screen is stuck on "Initializing SMS"



===== Cause =====



The cause is unknown at this time. However, the SSLIP does appear to be locked up and un-responsive when this happens.



===== Solution =====



Change the SSLIP shortcut located in the startup folder to Run as Administrator and in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP3.



Note: If the above solution results in the SSLIP not starting at all, try turning UAC to it's lowest level (off) and reboot the PC.
